Christmas:
Sickness ruined our travel plans for Christmas. We originally planned to leave St. Louis Thursday night and head up to Matt's parents in Springfield, IL. Stay the night up there and then head to Iuka to spend Christmas Eve with my parents. Stay the night there and then head to my grandparents in Hartford, IL and be home on Christmas Day evening.Well, none of that happened. Boo. My parents ended up coming to our apartment on Saturday morning before heading to my grandparents across the river. We will go to Matt's parents on New Year's Day. I suppose it isn't the end of the world...but it did/does make me sad.
My mom baked us some vegan brownies AND vegan cupcakes from one of the cookbooks they got me!
Look at all these COOKBOOKS! Santa spoiled me rotten!!
A big ol' Thank You! to my mom & dad, and Nanny & G-pa!
There is going to be some good cookin' at the Miller House :)
My favorite homemade cookie plate.
Winter Wonderland out our front windows.
Last but not least:
We ventured outside today to pick up some necessities to get through the next couple days. Our cabinets were bare, our noses needed tissues, and our brownies needed milk. I wanted to share the adorable tissues I picked up at Trader Joe's.
