Wednesday: June 30th-
We woke early at our skanky Motel 8 in Joliet to hit the road to Milwaukee by 9:00am. First stop on the agenda: Brewer's Game at Miller Park..........

This picture shows the view from the seats we bought tickets for...however...they were in the sun and we didn't last long. After 2 innings, I talked Matt into walking around to go sit in the shade.
Their mascot stayed in his "dugout" and gets to slide down the big slide when the Brewer's hit a home-run...sadly we did not get to see this in action. It was a pretty sad game for them and they lost 5-1. Oh well. I do have a marketing idea for the Brewer's that could be profitable for them. Nowhere in the stadium could I find a mustache for sale like the Brewer's mascot....I heart oversized mustaches and his mustache was perfect! The big entertainment during the 7th inning was...well...interesting. 5 life-sized sausages from around the world raced around the infield. Hilarious!
On your marks.....get set....
GO!
Winner!
Aweeeee....Mr & Mrs Miller @ Miller Park
(have you figured out yet why we chose milwaukee for our trip)
After the game, it was time to check in at the hotel and go explore the city. Our hotel was cute and our room was pretty, and we didn't take one picture of either of those. Woops.
Dinner was at an adorable hamburger joint, Stack'd. They were an easy choice while researching where all we should eat while in Milwaukee. All their food comes from local providers...and boy was it good! Matt designed his own burger and I got the HLT: Hummus, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion on texas toast. YUM!
Two Thumbs UP from Courtney!
Needless to say, after chowing down on all that grub we headed straight back to the hotel to put on our running shoes. Running in Milwaukee was not hard to get me to do....that city was mapped out perfectly around the river and made a beautiful route no matter what direction we went. But enough about the first day...let's move on to Thursday!
