Our first Christmas spent with my parents since they moved into town. Waking up in Salem was...weird. Really weird. But we quickly got over it and embraced it for all it's worth. The fact that we walked to the bank, walked to get pie dough, and walked over to see my dad working on their future house..made everything better. In Iuka, we could walk to the mailbox, walk to dump the food scraps, and walk to the pond in the backyard...that was the extent of my walking in the country.
I am too lazy to give you an entire play-by-play of the couple days spent in Salem. So listen up: we opened gifts, jumped on trampolines, Matt and mom ziplined in the backyard of friends, jumped on another trampoline (2 trampolines in one day), went on a run, SNOW, made poptarts, went to the same coffee place 3 times in two days, and saw two college friends and their babies. Phew.
Um...that's a face of a girl that should have never taken a break from running.
